"What truly sets Professor McNair apart is her ability to make learning both fun and impactful. Her deep passion for teaching and her innovative approach to learning not only engages students in the classroom but also helps them to develop valuable skills and confidence that extend beyond it. She creates a class environment that is inclusive and supportive where people feel welcome and motivated to participate. She cares deeply about her students, takes into account their interests, and finds unique ways to keep them engaged. She encourages students to take risks, be creative, and learn from each other, while also providing the guidance, support, and clear expectations needed to succeed, which I especially appreciated. She doesn’t just teach the material – she engages students in activities and assignments that push them to think outside the box and showcase their learning in different ways."

"The new [teaching] methods that Emily had designed went beyond teaching us the content. We went beyond skill testing questions and had a real-life experience that not only made sure we knew the material, but that we knew how to use the material as well. Her methods went beyond that as well. She did not just stop at teaching us the material and how to use it. She also got our careers started. Getting us connections in the business world before we had even entered is what allowed me to get a job and start my career. It is no stretch of the truth to say that Emily was able to change the fundamentals of teaching and provided me with so much more than the answers to trivia questions. Her methods provided me with an education that no other educator could have. My adult life is just getting started, and it is largely in part to the knowledge and experience that was provided by Emily’s methods of teaching."

"I’m continually amazed at all the work Emily has put into supporting the growth and success of various communities both in and around Regina. Her experience ranging from industry and non-profits through to academics has equipped her to lead a diverse set of teams spanning various domains and perspectives. I had the privilege of working with Emily as part of hosting the U of R’s inaugural JDC West business case competition. Since this time, I’ve seen (and heard) of Emily’s tremendous work. She’s a fearless leader who’s always looking to attract talent to help tackle the toughest projects. I was recently invited as a guest speaker to share a few stories on agile project management. Her personality and passion to deliver an engaging course was apparent the moment participants joined the call – being greeted with a colorful countdown, coupled with music. It’s these small touches that make all the difference, and leave a lasting impression. It’s so very Emily. I can’t wait to see you continue soaring to new heights, Emily!"

"Emily is one of the most talented people I have had the pleasure of working with. She carries big projects with the kind of ease and humour that makes working with her an absolute treat. From closing million dollar gifts, to doubling her yearly target, helping create meaningful strategies and being a total whiz on excel (inc. colourful spreadsheets, pie-charts, graphs - you name it) she has a lot of talent. Also grit - this is a girl who will roll up her sleeves and re-code a website in a jam or stay all evening to make sure every last prospect has been called. Emily's leadership, charisma, follow-through and organisation makes her a real asset in any business that is lucky enough to have her."

It's has been a honour to learn from Emily and I hope to work with her again in the future. "
